Saint Joan, the artist formerly known as Fontaine, has been writing and recording music for the last twenty years. Eighteen of those years she spent in Los Angeles, working as a bartender on the Sunset strip, earning enough money to record and release her fairly successful first album, the Chemistry Between Us. She recently returned to her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, and teamed up with Matt Zutell of Coast Records and the boys from “Human Resources”, to record her first album as Saint Joan, Ashes.
