Singapore-based duo Causeway Youth is an indie ambient pop band that consists of Esther (lead guitarist) and Jazreel-Anne (vocalist-guitarist), who met while they were in tertiary education.They soon realised their love for atmospheric textures and jangly guitars, which sparked them to create their style of music. Esther’s melodic guitar playing goes hand in hand with Jazreel-Anne’s hazy vocals, fabricating a melancholic yet incredibly contagious experience. There is no denying that their music is undeniably breezy, sappy, intimate, honest and somehow reminisces the sound of the early 2000s. The band released their highly anticipated debut Ep This Isn’t Where I Want to Be in May 2021, and here’s Hide. Enjoy!
