Song of the Day: Clide – Hotel Room

It’s no surprise that young Clide developed an affinity for music early on. As he grew up, he learned to play the piano and later even picked up the trumpet. Since then, Clide came a long a way, musically and personally, took various creative turns while exploring and finding his own musical identity. At 16 years old he started off fiddling around with a computer, a microphone and a piano, and didn’t stop since. Indeed, lo-fi pop is a big source of inspiration for Clide. While he also loves writing and singing piano ballads, he’s an outspoken aficionado of pop music, likes modern & fresh sounds that build bridges between the genres of international pop, urban and r&b. You’d probably find his vinyl on shelves somewhere between Post Malone, Alexander23 and James Arthur. Although still pretty young, Clide knows exactly what adjectives he wants his music to be associated with: Authentic, innovative and raw. He wants to talk about things that move him and are close to his heart. Of course, love is one of those things but so are questions around his own identity, the search for truth, dreams and interpersonal relationships. If you haven’t already, turn up the volume, lean back and enjoy so you can be one of the people who can say: ‘I’ve followed this guy since the beginning. Enjoy Hotel Room!
