Heavy Wild is the latest project from London based singer-songwriter Wolfgang Harte. Formerly a founding member of Swim Deep, Harte had been releasing music under his own name prior to the pandemic but after exploring other creative avenues during lockdown, a new project developed drawing influences from cinema, photography and art as much as music. Describing the sound of the new project as dream-grunge, debut track Special Powers combines the low-slung sleaze of the velvet underground and the strokes with dreamier, washed-out elements of surf-rock to create a sound which is both laid-back, yet anthemic, gritty yet soaring. Looking ahead, the video for Special powers will be online July 27th, followed by initial live dates soon after and news on further releases lined up for after the summer. Enjoy Special Powers!
