Golder and Marcyline released their highly anticipated new single, “Boat.” The energetic, nautical anthem, which marks the first collaboration between the two rising artists, is a highly requested live favorite, with fans chanting the songs title, “BOAT BOAT BOAT” throughout Golder’s well-attended live shows.
A euphoric blend of distorted guitar music and internety hyperpop, “Boat” explores the navigation of a panic attack, viewed through the metaphor of a giant tsunami that destroys New York City, and then takes the metaphor to absurd post-apocalyptic heights. “I live on the roof of my house/Surrounded by open water,” sings Marcyline who describes in his imagery- heavy verse a life alone in the middle of the ocean, attempting to keep sane. The song was self produced by Golder and features his characteristic experimental yet dangerously catchy arrangement style that brings punk rock attitude to bedroom production. Enjoy Boat!
