Bonny Light Horseman are the indie-folk superband starring Anais Mitchell and members of The Shins and The National. The new album ‘Rolling Golden Holy’ will be released on October 7th on 37d03d Records by Aaron Dessner of The National.
As for the previous single, the evocative ‘California, the new extract from the long-awaited return of Bonny Light Horseman is indie folk magic, capable of bringing back to mind the glories of the best American bands of the late sixties and early seventies, Fleetwood Mac, but above all the great tradition of the last 20 years carried on by bands like Fleet Foxes.
The new album ‘Rolling Golden Holy’ was produced by Josh Kaufman, who talks about the record: “Our debut focused on the old world, England and the states of the first cities of the East. The new album has a different subject, one example is ‘California’, our first West Coast-style song. It is a sad song, a story that talks about cut roots and a new clue, of morning alarms and long journeys riding towards sunrise and not sunset.” Enjoy Summer Dean!
