Tyga is a protagonist of the international hip hop scene, always at the center of the scene for 15 years and now back to the rescue with a single recorded with the feat. by soul star Jhene Aiko and with a verse from the late Pop Smoke.
‘Sunshine’ comes a short distance from the hit ‘Freaky Deaky’ recorded with Doja Cat and arrived at the top of the international charts, certified gold in the states a few weeks after its release.
The new single pays homage to Lil Flip‘s classic Y2K and was recorded with multi-platinum producers Mike Crook and DJ Swish, able to breathe new life into the early 2000s hit. On the use of the great Pop Smoke verse Tyga says: “Pop Smoke is a legend and it was a great experience working with his mother and brother on one of his verses. I hope ‘Sunshine’ continues to pay tribute to Pop Smoke and keep his legacy alive.” Tyga is currently wrapping up her European summer tour and preparing for the release of her new studio album, coming this fall. Enjoy the tune!
