Jamie Xx returns after Let’s Do It Again with the new single Kill Dem, which is today presented as “Hottest Record In The World” by Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1. The piece was created with Notting Hill Carnival in mind. and it’s inspired by the party energy and soundsystems Jamie has heard there since he was a teenager. In August Jamie had the honor of attending Carnival for the first time as a DJ, joining Shy FX’s iconic Digital Soundboy stage and having the chance to play Kill Dem in the venue that inspired him. Meanwhile, Jamie Xx has received widespread acclaim for his production work on his bandmate Oliver Sim’s debut solo album Hideous Bastard, which was released September 9 on Young. Enjoy the tune!
