This is the year of The Luka State, coming through with a killer new album and a handful of singles that are rocking UK radio stations. ‘More Tan This’ is pure dynamite, the most aggressive, visceral and immediate album of their career. In their new work, the Conrad Ellis-led band investigates the dark side of provincial life and the modern working class with rock stylings and songwriting mindful of the British tradition that saw the rise of Oasis, Stereophonics, Arctic Monkeys and Biffy Clyro between the second half of the 1990s and the early 2000s.
For The Luka State, this is a second birth after their 2021 debut ‘Fall In Fall Out,’ the record that will make them the British band to watch for 2023.
The group consists of singer and guitarist Conrad Ellis, Sam Bell (bass, vocals), Lewis Pusey (guitar) and Jake Barnabas (drums).
The new album was recorded at The Motor Museum in Liverpool with Producers Dan Austin (You Me At Six and Pixies) and Grammy winner Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters and Muse). Enjoy More Than This!
