“I listened to a lot of country while writing the material for the new album,” Fenne Lily says. One of my favorites was the album ‘Anymore For Anymore’ by Ronnie Lane and Slim Change, especially the track ‘Roll On Babe.’ I brought the track to my band to get a feel for the sound I was looking for on the new record.”
Fenne’s new band consists of Joe Sherrin (lead guitars), Kane Eagle (bass), James Luxton (drums), Phil Cook (banjo) and Brad Cook (mellotron).
‘Big Picture’ is a diary of the last two years spent by Fenne. The album was recorded live in North Carolina at co-producer Brad Cook’s studio and outlines the stages of love, becoming a map of comfort versus claustrophobia. “Writing this album was my attempt to bring order to the disastrous 2020,” says Fenne. Documenting the most vulnerable parts of that time allowed me to reclaim my life.” Enjoy the tune!
