Beirut, led by Zach Condon, is set to release its first album in over four years. Titled Hadsel, the album will be available on November 10th via Condon’s Pompeii Records label. The record was written, recorded, and produced by Condon. It follows the release of Artifacts earlier this year, which compiled previously unreleased material, EPs, and B-sides. Beirut has yet to release new music since 2015’s No No No album. This release follows Condon’s visit to Hadsel island in Norway, where he met Oddvar, an “organ enthusiast,” who allowed him to explore the Hadsel Church and its organ. The church organ became the foundation for the album, with Condon recording and arranging the music around its sound. The album features five instrumental tracks, with each one named after a different organ stop, such as “Prestant” and “Rørfløyte.” Enjoy ‘So Many Plans’!
