Due Oct. 27, ‘Under Two Flags’ is the debut ep from British punk band Rifle, on the Standard Process label, in collaboration with One Little Independent Records.
Having met while working at a retailer in Camden, Rifle later found themselves sharing a passion for Bad Breeding, Chubby And The Gang and The Chisel, as well as later finding themselves opening some of their own gigs and collecting slots with the likes of High Vis, Crocodiles, DITZ, Raw Brigade and others. They quickly made their mark on the local circuit, even before releasing ‘Holloway Demos’ in 2022. Live, their sound is immediate and able to capture the pungent relevance of 1970s British punk, the raw ferocity of 1980s American hardcore and a healthy dose of anarcho-punk. Their frankness onstage and the brutality of their live performances do not leave one indifferent and add authenticity to the themes Rifle deal with in their lyrics, from civil rights deprivation to the political neglect of the working class, anger and frustration at the ruling class. Enjoy ’Warfare’!
