Hippo Campus have announced the release of their new album ‘Flood’, available on 20 September from Psychic Hotline, anticipated by the single ‘Paranoid’.
Hippo Campus’ sound might sound simple on a superficial listen, but the American combo is capable of unique writing and technique with complex scores and arrangements. The band is influenced by the British indie-rock tradition, close to the sound of artists such as Little Comets and King Krule. Over the years they have performed at major festivals such as South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Summerfest, as well as at the important UK festival in Reading.
‘Flood’ is the rebirth of Hippo Campus, recorded in just 10 days at Sonic Ranch studio in Tornillo, Texas, USA, with producers Caleb Wright (Charly Bliss, Samia) and Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby). This Is Pop? today’s song of the day is here for you.
