Auckland’s indie band, Daily J, invited listeners into a new chapter with their latest single, “Tastes Like Forever.” This mesmerising track is the third single of 2024 and came just in time to soundtrack the summer of the southern hemisphere.

Building on the momentum of singles “Happy Slides” and “Sunday Stitches” the band continue to evolve, showcasing a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new. Produced by faithful collaborator Joe Faris, “Tastes Like Forever” wraps listeners in vivid imagery and evokes the thrilling uncertainty of new love.

Jayden Paul, the band’s frontman, dives into the inspiration behind the track:  
“The song was written to capture the feeling of falling for someone who leaves a lasting impression. It’s about that emotional tug-of-war – the longing, the missed chances, the ‘what ifs’ when someone new steps into your story.”
