Bon Iver – Everything Is Peaceful Love

‘Everything Is Peaceful Love’ is the first single from Bon Iver new album, ‘Sable, Fable’, out April 11th for Jagjaguwar.

About the new single and video Justin Vernon says, “I knew what kind of record I wanted to make the day we recorded ‘Everything Is Peaceful Love.’ I always knew it would be the track I wanted to share first. I wanted the video to just show people smiling uncontrollably. Fortunately, Eric Timothy Carlson suggested we contact John Wilson of ‘How To with John Wilson,’ the most touching and hilarious TV show around. We were lucky that John liked the idea. He came out, shot a lot of funny stuff and edited it for the video for the song.”

The new album begins with the ‘Sable’ EP and its three unreleased tracks released in October, the triptych giving way to a new nine-song saga in which one person becomes two, darkness turns into salmon-colored beauty, and sadness turns into unbridled joy. Where ‘Sable’ was a scattered and lonely reckoning with an ache that has long defined the past, ‘Fable’ looks toward a vibrant future full of light, purpose and possibility: a partner, new memories, perhaps a family.

This Is Pop? today’s song of the day is here for you.
