Dublin’s For Nina are fast becoming one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging bands – and their new single “Hounds“ might be their strongest statement yet.

Building on a year of rapid momentum “Hounds” finds the three-piece stepping confidently into their next chapter. Pairing driving guitars with blistering drums and a chorus dripping in youthful uncertainty, the track channels the raw chaos of navigating your twenties.

Formed in 2023 after meeting in college, For Nina quickly found common ground through a shared love of alternative rock and melding contrasting musical ideas. Within months, they were already making noise – culminating in a showcase at the 2024 edition of Ireland Music Week to mark their first anniversary as a band. Now, with “Hounds” they’re cementing their place as a band with both grit and heart.

Speaking on the track, the band shared: “The track came out of nothing really. We were just jamming out over the main riff and then everything seemed to click and within half-an-hour we had the song. We wrote the chorus in a way that hopefully highlights the uncertain chaos of being ‘twenty-something. We were in a tricky place with our college course at the time and the feelings manifested themselves within the song. At least those feelings led to something good!”
