Speaking on “The Twins (1969)”, vocalist and songwriter Sean Murphy-O’Neill said: “The Twins is about only missing something once you’ve lost it. Filling boots, and leftovers.” The song reflects on absence and emotional residue, using direct, conversational lyrics to explore how grief and change often register only in hindsight. With its looping lines and tightly wound vocal delivery, it builds a growing sense of frustration and disconnection.
