Alternative rock band Kanadia have announced their third album The Fire That’s Tearing Through Our Home for release on September 26th.
The album showcases an abundance of dreamlike rich soundscapes, massive hooks, and haunting melodies throughout its expansive 50-minute journey examining the fragility and beauty of human emotion. This is demonstrated in the propulsive pensive anthem and brand new single ‘Too Late Now’. The song balances between delicate guitar parts and powerful indie riffs, lush harmonies and thunderous choruses, conveying the contrasting dark emotion among beautiful periods of bright clarity felt throughout the track.
Regarding the single vocalist, guitarist and songwriter James Bettis says, “‘Too Late Now’ came out of me fast — one of those songs that felt more like an emotional release than something I “wrote”. It explores regret, identity, and the weight of choices, asking how far we keep pushing ourselves before it becomes too much. There’s a deep personal undercurrent for me in this one — about being a musician, dealing with anxiety and depression, and mourning a version of myself I’ve lost along the way. I wanted the verses to feel exposed and fragile, and the choruses to feel like letting go. It’s a song about holding on and having to accept that some things can’t be undone — that sometimes, it really is too late now.”
