Tamino – Raven

Tamino shares the latest single from his upcoming album, Raven.

Available via erēmia/Communion Records, ‘Every Dawn’s a Mountain’ deals with loss, displacement, separation and abandonment.

Tamino wrote his new album, Every Dawn’s a Mountain, in New York, where he now lives. To do so, he used a traditional Middle Eastern instrument: the oud. He says, “The Arabic oud, which I have been playing for several years now, is once again an important instrument and a fundamental pillar of the album’s sound. It appears in almost every song, sometimes as the main instrument, especially in Sanpaku. The tracks Raven, My Heroine and Dissolve were all written on it and feature the instrument at their core, with the rest of the arrangements built around the backbone of my oud sound and vocals.”
