Hull-based cinematic indie-folk outfit Pavey Ark will release their second full-length album, More Time, More Speed, on November 21st, 2025. The announcement coincided with the release of the single, “Yesterday Is Done.”
“Yesterday Is Done” opens with eight bars of string quartet before the vocals, horns, bass, and drums join, gradually building into a layered, expansive arrangement. The lyrics begin with a simple apology – “I’m sorry” – which evolves into a broader reflection on letting go of the past and embracing new beginnings. The track’s official video, filmed against Annabel McCourt’s touring art installation I’m Sorry, adds a striking visual resonance to the song’s themes of reflection and emotional release.
Speaking on the single vocalist and songwriter, Neil Thomas said, “‘Yesterday is Done’ is a song about letting go of the past and looking for new beginnings, so it feels just right releasing this song as we announce the new album. ‘Yesterday is Done’ is a song that pulses with positivity, and it definitely feels like an exciting new chapter for the band.”
