Bassvictim – Wolves Howling

Bassvictim, the London-based duo formed by Poland-born vocalist Maria Manow and producer Ike Clateman, have released their new single Wolves Howling a month ago. Emerging from the city’s club underground, the pair continue to attract attention as one of the most visible names in the current electroclash revival.

Their sound blends distorted basslines, lo-fi club textures and a deliberately raw aesthetic rooted in early-2000s culture. Alongside their intense onstage presence, Bassvictim have built a cult following through music that moves freely between irony and sincerity, club functionality and emotional exposure. Their rapid rise has been fuelled by a steady output and a reputation for pushing personal and sonic boundaries.

“Wolves Howling” reflects the duo’s darker, more confrontational side. Driven by tense low-end pressure and stark production, the track channels urgency and inner conflict, with Manow’s vocals cutting sharply through the mix. The song reinforces Bassvictim’s identity as a project that prioritises instinct and emotional intensity over polish or restraint.
