Marta Del Grandi – Dream Life

Italian singer-songwriter Marta Del Grandi has released the title track from her new album Dream Life, following the anticipation built by singles Antarctica, Neon Lights, and Alpha Centauri.

Dream Life, Marta’s second album after 2021’s Selva, presents a more contemporary approach with lyrics touching on political and social themes, alongside personal storytelling and a defined pop sound. The title track explores the leap between reality and our dreams and ambitions, while Shoe Shaped Cloud offers a darker, introspective look at a past relationship, driven by a vulnerable vocal delivery reminiscent of Radiohead’s more fragile moments.

Marta Del Grandi draws inspiration from the free spirit of Joni Mitchell, the noir echoes of Nina Nastasia, Carole King’s melodic clarity, and Agnes Obel’s understated minimalism. Her work blends surreal and dreamlike elements with introspective reflections, capturing moments that are both personal and universal. With Dream Life, she continues to refine her distinctive voice in contemporary music, creating a poetic and grounded exploration of memory, hope, and the unpredictable nature of life.
